Self-Disclosure in Addiction Counseling: To Tell or Not to Tell? 3.0 CEUs

There are not two types of CASACs. CASACs who are in recovery and CASACs who are not in recovery. I have been teaching and promoting this position on self-disclosure long before I wrote the article published in Counselor: The Magazine for Addiction Professionals in 2010.

There are no shortcuts to building trust with our patients. There are no shortcuts at all in our profession. All clinical counselors and clinical supervisors should take this online training course.

  1. This was the most relevant and enlightening course I have taken on-line or anywhere. I am going to recommend to my clinical supervisor that he should take this training course. Thank you Mr. Rule for developing this course in an on-line format.

    1. Thank you for the feedback Billy. I put a lot of research and development into designing these courses and now am offering them in an on-line format. My intent is to get the evidence-based skills into the hands of the people who are actually doing the work —> the counselors!
